The HOPE Program and Sustainable South Bronx (SSBx) came to me because they had recently joined together as partners— two programs working together to provide green and sustainable job training services to underrepresented communities. Both organizations wanted a visual language that related back to one another and demonstrate how they both come together to build a foundation for their communities.
The HOPE Program logo’s shape and florets reminds people of how a flower grows or a tree spreads its branches to provide shelter for the community below in the same way that Sustainable South Bronx and The HOPE Program provide a holistic service to the community. While the Sustainable South Bronx logo is simple and illustrative of how SSBx is only one leaf on the HOPE family tree. While at the same time SSBx represents how each member that joins Sustainable South Bronx becomes something that is bigger than the sum of its parts.
